数学研究中心于2020年至2021年第一学期在珠海举办了一系列应用数学和数据科学研讨会。这些研讨会使中心成员聚集一堂，就数学研究交流研究思路和进行合作。
大多数讲座由中心成员担当主讲人，同时也邀请了外校嘉宾来做报告，如香港中文大学（深圳）的贺冬冬博士、北京师范大学珠海校区人工智能与未来网络研究院的骆宗伟博士、北京师范大学-香港浸会大学联合国际学院的张慧教授都做了了出色的演讲报告，为跨学科领域提供了新的见解，如非线性动力学、大数据科学和图像学。
